If you all are anything like me, you overthink.  I hypothesize women are highly likely to overthink more and more as life’s responsibilities pile up.  Eventually there is no mental peace to be found because your mind is processing so many things.  I have strived for the majority of my life to slow down and take life one day at a time.  It’s working pretty well, for the most part.

Here are some tips I that have helped me and will give you a starting place to whittle down the number of things on your mind.

  1.  Know that your mind will never be fully quiet.  Our minds are like computers in the respect that there are behind the scenes processes running.  The processes behind the scenes include processes that warn you if something is going wrong in your body.  Intuition is present to help you be proactive as opposed to reactive.  Also, your mind processes ways to solve issues that have been bugging you.  If you notice your mind running just check in for a second and ask if you need to do something immediately.  Your mind/body will let you know if you need to take action. If all is well, relax and move forward.
  2. Accept that the world is imperfect.  Yes, there are millions of amazing causes in the world.  Yes, there is injustice in the world.  Yes, other people are intentionally mean to others.  Pick one or two causes to support; then work to make your life the way you think life should look.  Own your feelings, feel your doubts and fears, create your dream life, seize your passion/purpose and go full force forward.  When you see something that bugs you that you can’t fix, love yourself for noticing.  Thank the universe for calling others to work on areas of injustice that you cannot focus on.
  3. Learn to focus on what you have and what is rather than what is not present in your life and the world.  Yes, it is great to work on improvement; improvement gives meaning to life.  There is something magical about accepting life as it is.  Satisfaction brings abundance, dissatisfaction brings more yucky stuff.  More than likely, your life is richer than you know.  Celebrate your life abundance.  Love yourself for seeking more.
