Self doubt – that nagging feeling that you …. (fill in the blank) won’t accomplish your dreams, can’t get the job/promotion, will always be alone, and so on. Stop for a minute and think about how self doubt feels, the bodily sensations you have, and where you feel the sensations in your body. The thought of self doubt takes my breath away. My face gets tight and my gut begins to hurt.
Self doubt is one of the best ways to keep yourself from moving forward. Just sit for a moment and let that doubt sink in. Rehearse it over and over again in your mind until you are afraid to do anything else. And then, you are left with depression and hopelessness.
But really, who wants to live life doubting him or herself? I know that self doubt is not the place for me!
And so, as promised 3 Ways to Overcome Self Doubt:
- Recognize and stop the message. When you begin doubting yourself, you need to stop the message. Nothing good will ever come out of thinking negative thoughts about yourself.
- Change your thoughts to positive messages: I am a good problem solver and manifester. I am worthy of having a life partner/ideal job/ideal life/better days.
- Write a few affirmations like: I am worthy to enjoy all of my life, I am always attracting my perfect partner/job/whatever you are seeking, I am attracting the changes I need in my life to get the life/partner/job/freedom I want.
Once you have written down your affirmations/manifestations, read through them morning and night. 😉
