Everything you want is right outside of your comfort zone, and mine.  Right?!  Why do you think that is?  It seems that life is playing a cruel trick on us, keeping us from the things we want.  Of course we can imagine all kinds of reasons about why we are not getting where we want to go.  While it is not a bad idea to feel and deal with your feelings, the truth is, we have to let go to move forward.

Can you remember when all you wanted to do is drive a car?  At one point in time, driving a car seemed like the best thing on earth (until you became a taxi driver to your kids).  So when you turned 16, did you automatically receive a driver’s permit?  Of course not.  You had to learn some information and then test for a driver’s permit.  Then you had to actually learn to drive, obey street signs, parallel park, and so on.  In other words, you had to level up!

In much the same way, you have to move forward to enjoy the abundance life has to offer.  You have to be willing to change your mind and your heart.  All of the magic and potential lies within you.  Before you decide to beat yourself up for not having changed, remember this:  Everyone person alive could open him/herself to more abundance.  Also, right up until we die, we will still be leveling up!

Here are a few suggestions geared towards letting go and leveling up.

  1. Imagine yourself having all you seek.  Just think and feel the way you will when you have achieved your goals.  As you step more and more into your future, the path to getting there will become more clear.
  2. Don’t listen to others.  With singing, you first learn the notes and then you stylize.  In the same way, when trying something new, is okay to get the basics of performing new tasks by word of mouth/watching others/taking classes.  As time goes on however, you need to trust your gut even when your gut advice differs from the advice of others.
  3. Be open to new opportunities.  Some piece of your puzzle may become clear if you listen and watch around you.  I sometimes have recurring dreams that stop ending with tragedy when I am about to level up.  When I get those dreams, I begin to watch even more closely what is appearing in my life.
  4. Learn new coping techniques.  Coping techniques are the tools for leveling up.  The only thing holding us back is ourselves.  By working through some of your “stuff” and learning to cope better with old and new stuff, you will free up more of yourself to enjoy life.

All the best!
